MR476E Capacitor Run Motor Electrical Training Equipment Educational Laboratory Equipment
1. Equipment introduction
1.1 Overview
A capacitor-operated asynchronous motor is an asynchronous motor in which the characteristics of the motor are changed by an external capacitor. Its working principle is based on the action of capacitors, which provide additional capacitance and thus change the characteristics of the motor. During the starting phase, the capacitor acts to provide additional current to help the motor start. During the operating phase, the capacitor provides additional capacitance, making the motor more efficient.
1.2 Features
1. Easy to start: Since there is only one phase of the single-phase power supply, a rotating magnetic field cannot be generated. The capacitor can provide additional current to help the motor start. Therefore, the starting characteristics of capacitor-run motors are better.
2. Stable operation: When the capacitor-operated motor is running, the secondary winding is also connected to the power grid and works at the same time. With appropriate design, the motor can respond well to the given load.
3. Higher efficiency: The efficiency of capacitor-operated motors is higher, which benefits from the capacitance compensation effect of the capacitor.
4. Unstable speed: This is caused by the error in the capacitance and resistance value of the capacitor. The speed of a capacitor-start single-phase asynchronous motor is usually not very stable and is easily affected by load changes.
5. Simple maintenance: The capacitor start-running single-phase asynchronous motor has a simple structure, easy maintenance and low cost.
6. It has a larger starting current tolerance: adding a capacitor can make the motor withstand a larger starting current, which makes it easier to start the motor.
