1. Product Overview
1.1 Product Description
The stator of a DC compound-wound motor is equipped with two independent excitation windings: a series winding and a shunt winding. Combining these two excitation methods results in what is known as a compound-wound DC motor. The series winding consists of fewer turns of thicker wire and is connected in series with the rotor armature circuit, carrying the armature operating current. The shunt winding consists of many turns of thinner wire and is connected directly in parallel across the power supply, carrying a small, constant excitation current.
1.2 Product Features
High starting torque.
Good rotational speed stability.
