MR3102 Flow Visualisation Channel Hydrodynamics Lab Equipment Didactic Equipment
1. Equipment Introduction
1.1 Overview
The flow visualization channel fluid dynamics laboratory equipment teaching equipment can be used to visualize the flow around the towed body and the flow phenomenon in the open channel, including the following:
(1) The towed body or weir is fixed in the experimental water tank, and the streamlines can be made visible by injecting contrast agent;
(2) The experimental water tank is made of transparent material, so the formation of streamlines and vortices can be easily observed;
(3) The water level in the experimental water tank can be adjusted by the sluice at the inlet and the weir at the outlet;
(4) There are two weirs and four different towed bodies available for experiments;
(5) The rectifier ensures that the water flow is uniform and without vortex;
(6) The experimental unit can be easily and safely placed on the workbench of the fluid base module, and the fluid base module can also be used to measure the flow rate.
1.2 Features
(1) The equipment layout is reasonable, beautiful, clear in structure, and has a strong sense of integrity.
(2) It has a good safety protection system.
(3) It adopts an aluminum alloy frame structure and is light in weight.
(4) The device can be used to study the flow around the towed body and the flow phenomenon in the open channel.

3.2 Fluid Experiment Basic Module
The Fluid Experiment Basic Module mainly provides basic equipment for a single experiment, including:
(1) Water supply in a closed loop;
(2) Determination of volume flow;
(3) Positioning of experimental units on the working surface of the basic module;
(4) Collection of return water;
(5) The closed water circuit consists of a bottom tank with a powerful submersible pump and a measuring tank arranged above, where the return water collection measuring tank is stepped for larger and smaller volume flows;
(6) Measuring beakers are used for very small volume flows;
(7) Volume flow is measured using a stopwatch;
(8) The top work surface enables various experimental units to be easily and safely positioned.
