1. Product Overview
1.1 Product Description
The stator of a DC compound-wound motor is equipped with two independent excitation windings: a series winding and a shunt winding. Combining these two excitation methods results in what is known as a compound-wound DC motor. The series winding consists of fewer turns of thicker wire and is connected in series with the rotor armature circuit, carrying the armature operating current; the shunt winding consists of many turns of thinner wire and is connected directly in parallel across the power supply, carrying a constant, low excitation current.
1.2 Product Features
High starting torque.
Good speed stability.
